Want to boost your Newsfeed on Poshmark to 99+ notifications?? Might I suggest Poshmark Parties?
On the shopping page there is a box specifically for parties. Click the party link and you will see the current party if you happen to catch it while its active. There is a list of upcoming parties and also parties that have already happened.
First order of business is sharing your items to appropriate themed party. If the Party headline is: Best of Swimwear, go to your closet and search your categories to find your swimwear and share to the party. There will be a button above share to followers to share to the appropriate party. Click the share button and then share to party!
Second is share items from the party to your followers. Click the button for "just shared" inside the main showroom and click on the first item. After you find the seller share about 4-5 of their items to your followers. I usually share about 10 closets before refreshing. You have a great chance of getting noticed and return shares when you do this. I always refresh the page that way you are finding closets that are the most recently active. I also follow a closet when I click to share if I haven't done so already.
Third is congratulating fellow Poshers on their Host Pick. A Host Pick is when the party host selects a Poshmark users item to be featured in the party's Host pick page. You can add fun emojis to stop by and wish them well on their host pick. They will feel special and are likely to write you a heartfelt message and share your items.
Try to share and congratulate for as long as you can in a party. They usually go a couple hours, however, this can really boost your exposure!!
Lastly you want to share items from parties that have already happened if there is no current party going on. You can find the list of all parties when you click the party link. Try to pick a theme that matches your closet and share 4-5 listings from each closet refreshing so often so you get the most recent users.
You will be so surprised with the results and will have an active feed in no time!
You will need to continue to share regularly to maintain an active news feed.
Next time we will discuss how to get a host pick and be featured on the Host Pick Party page!!

How can I sell my items for $4 and $5 and still make a profit?
If you are new to Posh and are thinking of selling there but don't have a lot of money to invest, start with your own closet and the closets of your friends and family. Let them know what you plan on doing and ask nicely if they would have old clothes they no longer need and wouldn't mind donating. That's what I did to start and some of my family members had really awesome items to sell. I ended up collecting some really great items to start with.
Another thing you can do is hit Garage sales in your area. Spring and summer are obviously the best time to do it as that is when most people host them. If you buy more than a couple pieces you can usually talk them down to a better price.
Thrift shops and secondhand stores are also a great avenue. You can find name brand items starting at $4.99. At certain thrift shops they have colored tag sales as well, for example: All items with the red tag are 50% off! There are also thrift outlet stores where you can fill up an entire cart and pay by the pound!! Talk about heaven!! Make sure you do your research to find these kind of shops and deals in your area.
Pawn shops can also be good for reselling things like jewelry if that's something you'd like in your shop.
AliExpress and other wholesale shops are good for getting started. Lots of great inexpensive items. However you will wait a long time before your order gets to you as most products come from China so plan ahead.
I do a little bit of everything. I try my best to get items for as low as 50 cents a piece that way I can offer products at a low low price such as $4 and $5. The reason I try to keep my prices low is because its at a range I can afford myself. I can't afford $100 items at the moment but I can buy $4 and $5 items more frequently. Also, people will bundle more frequently if you offer low prices and you will get a better profit percentage from each bundle sale. It can be more effective to sell lots of items frequently than a more expensive item every couple of months and it will keep people coming back if they know they can get a great deal from you!
If something is basic, not a sought after brand, offer it as cheap as you can otherwise it may sit for months or even years. Name brands, unique and highly sought after items can be priced higher as they will tend to sell at a higher price.
It takes time to build inventory and it will happen as you make money and can invest more. Don't get discouraged. You can do this! I only started with a few items and now my closet is around 3000. Totally doable!!

Well that's all I have for today!! Happy Poshing!!

How should I price my items?
If you are new to the resell game on Poshmark or have been there and still can't figure out how to price your items let me offer some helpful suggestions.
Poshmark takes a $2.95 fee from ever sale up to $10 after that it's 20% off of every item over $10.
You always want to start high. Since customers are able to make offers through the site you won't always get your starting price. For example: I just bought a great Michael Kors blouse from Goodwill at $6.99. I'm going to ask $35 to start and will take an offer as low as $15 so I make at least a profit of $5. You never want to go too high or it will scare potential customers away. Everyone is looking for the next great deal!
Another thing to be aware of is when someone makes you an offer it may seem a little low but maybe that's all they have to spend. If you counter with a higher price you better be ready to lose the sale. Most people "walk away" at the counter price and will not come back. Its better to make a little less than you wanted to in order to close the sale. I would only counter if it means you would lose money otherwise.
Do your research!! Search your item on Poshmark to see what others are selling it for. If you want to sell it quicker you can offer it at the cheapest price but my suggestion is to be somewhere in the middle. You can always take a lower offer. You need to also account for the condition of the item. The better the shape, the more you will get.

You will always make more on bundles. I'm not sure how Poshmark reaches the price on bundles but it does equate to a better percentage for you. If you see someone bundling, send them a discounted offer with discounted shipping a lot of times they will accept!! You have more room to work on pricing with bundles!
Only go high when its a highly sought after item with limited quantities. On basic items go as low as you can so people are more willing to bundle and you sell more.
Don't change your prices too much. When you lower your items it will let the people who liked items know on their feed. If you raise and lower again, it will not notify them. Its also best to be consistent so customers trust you know the right price to sell the item at.
Well that's all for today. Tomorrow I will go over how I'm able to sell items at $5 and still make money!

Poshmark Ambassador
Today was a huge day for me! I finally earned Posh Ambassador status on Poshmark (a mobile market app to buy and sell fashion).
It's been a long time coming.
It's been a long time coming.
I've had my shop on Poshmark for a few years but was working as a housekeeper full time so Poshmark came second. I was only able to ship on the weekends which greatly increased my days to ship.
One of the requirements for Ambassador is that you ship within 3 days. I was at 4.5 or so a year ago when I quit my job and decided to Posh full time.
It took a whole year of shipping every other day to bring my average down to 3 days!! I had reached all the requirements a few weeks ago and didn't see the email or get a notice that I was officially Ambassador.
I decided to e-mail them last night to let them know I reached the requirements a few weeks ago but hadn't heard anything and I got an email today welcoming me to the program!
I am so excited. I worked so hard to earn it!
I have a mental disability and staying consistent throughout my selling career has been a huge challenge for me. Waking up and self-motivating is a tough one as well. I have been pushing through each order/getting them all packaged and shipped on time! I'm really proud of myself!
To all my fellow Boss babes that face daily challenges: You are doing great!!
